Grants covering up to 70% of eligible freight rail infrastructure project costs (maximum $700,000) to preserve essential rail freight service and stimulate economic growth through new or expanded service.

Eligibility
Eligible applicants include railroad companies, transportation organizations, municipalities, municipal authorities, and users of rail freight infrastructure. 30% local match required. Projects must maintain use for 15 years.

- Project must involve capital maintenance and/or construction of freight rail or intermodal rail infrastructure
