The Harriett Fuller Rust Grant Program supports the continued revitalization of Downtown Bloomington by helping businesses and property owners improve the appearance, safety, structural integrity, and quality of commercial storefronts and buildings. The program reimburses up to 50% of eligible exterior project costs for buildings in the designated downtown program area, with a standard maximum award of $25,000 per project and possible additional funding for specific projects.
Eligibility
Owners or businesses responsible for eligible commercial buildings located within the designated Downtown Bloomington program area may apply for exterior improvement projects.
Requirements
- Property must be within the designated Rust Grant program area in Downtown Bloomington.
- Project must involve eligible exterior improvements such as facade, roof, masonry, storefront, accessibility, or related building work.
- Applicant must receive approval before beginning reimbursable work.
