Georgia Quality Jobs Tax Credit
A tax credit for Georgia businesses creating high-paying jobs. Companies earn $2,500 to $5,000 per new job per year for up to 7 years, depending on how far the wage exceeds the county average. Designed to incentivize quality, well-compensated employment.
About this program
Can offset both state corporate income tax and payroll withholding. Cannot stack with the Job Tax Credit on the same job. Companies investing $600M+ get 2 extra years to meet job requirements; $800M+ get 4 extra years.
Eligibility
Any Georgia business that within a 24-month period creates at least 50 net new full-time jobs paying at least 110% of the county's average wage. Higher pay tiers (up to 200%+ of county average) earn larger credits. Available statewide regardless of industry.
