Tennessee's Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Self-Employment Program provides eligible Tennesseans with disabilities individualized support—including funding for equipment, training, and startup costs—to launch or expand for-profit businesses in the competitive market.

Eligibility
Tennessee residents with a documented disability who meet VR eligibility criteria and have a viable self-employment business plan. Applicants must seek assistance from SCORE, Chamber of Commerce, or TSBDC to develop a business plan before VR will fund startup costs.
