About this program
The Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments supports brownfield assessment and redevelopment efforts for member municipalities, helping communities pursue cleanup funding, environmental assessment, and productive reuse of contaminated properties.
Eligibility
Municipalities, property owners, developers, and project partners with eligible brownfield sites in NVCOG communities, including Naugatuck.
Requirements
- Coordinate with NVCOG and local officials
- Provide site information, environmental concerns, and reuse goals
- Meet state or federal brownfield funding requirements if funding is pursued
