The Maryland Facade Improvement Program provides funding to improve exteriors of businesses located in Maryland Sustainable Communities. Rockville has used DHCD facade funding through REDI to support local retail facade improvements in eligible sustainable community areas.

Local governments and community development organizations applying for facade improvement projects in Maryland Sustainable Communities.
Requirements
- Project must be located in a Maryland Sustainable Community
- Applicant must be local government or eligible community development organization
- Develop local application process and comply with DHCD program guidelines
