About this program

Battle Creek Community Foundation's Competitive General Grants support nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations whose projects benefit the greater Battle Creek community and align with the foundation's focus areas of health and well-being, education, and livable communities. The fiscal year 2026-2027 process uses a letter of intent followed by a full application for invited applicants.

Eligibility

Federally recognized 501(c)(3) public charities, churches, fiscally sponsored community groups, schools, municipalities, and other tax-exempt organizations serving greater Battle Creek may apply; for-profit organizations are not eligible.

Requirements

  • Applicant must be an eligible nonprofit, tax-exempt organization, municipality, school, or fiscally sponsored community group.
  • Project must benefit the greater Battle Creek community.
  • Project must align with one or more BCCF focus areas.
