About this program
HouseHartford helps eligible low- and moderate-income homebuyers purchase one- to four-unit residential properties or condos in Hartford through financial assistance that may be structured as a deferred or forgivable loan.
Eligibility
Income-qualified homebuyers purchasing eligible Hartford homes who complete homebuyer education and meet lender, property, and city program requirements.
Requirements
- Complete an eight-hour homebuyer education class
- Meet with city staff and a participating lender for mortgage preapproval
- Provide income, household, purchase, property, and lender documentation
