About this program
The Bureau of Indian Education Higher Education Grant Program provides financial assistance to eligible Native American students who are members of federally recognized Tribes and pursuing undergraduate education. Deadline notes: Deadlines vary by Tribe or Tribal higher education office. Notes: New Jersey residents may qualify if they are members of federally recognized Tribes; state-recognized Tribe status alone may not be sufficient.
Eligibility
Native American students who are members of federally recognized Tribes and meet BIE and Tribal higher education grant requirements.
Requirements
- Apply through the student's Tribe or Tribal higher education office with proof of Tribal membership, enrollment, financial need, academic status, and institution information.
