About this program
Charlotte City Council established the Housing Trust Fund to provide financing to affordable housing developers through voter-approved housing bonds. The fund supports affordable rental and homeownership development, preservation, and other housing projects that advance city housing goals.
Eligibility
Affordable housing developers and nonprofit housing providers with eligible projects serving income-qualified households in Charlotte.
Requirements
- Submit through city housing funding or RFP process when available
- Provide site control, development budget, sources and uses, affordability commitments, and development team information
- Meet underwriting, city housing policy, long-term affordability, and compliance requirements
