Washington Paid Family and Medical Leave Small Business Assistance Grant
Grants to help small businesses cover the cost of hiring temporary employees or training existing staff when an employee is on Paid Family and Medical Leave. Up to $3,000 per employee on leave (or $1,000 for training without replacement hire).
About this program
Apply after the employee returns from leave. One of the simplest WA grants — narrow scope but reliable for qualifying small employers.
Eligibility
Washington businesses with an average of 150 or fewer employees. Businesses with fewer than 50 employees must also pay the employer portion of PFML premiums to be eligible.
