About this program
Clarksdale and Coahoma County list a set of local tax vehicles intended to make business development more feasible in the community. Available local tools can include property renovation and revitalization credits, tax moratoriums and freezes, advantage tax structures for industrial development, historic district tax credits used with federal credits, and New Markets Tax Credit structures used with federal participation. Incentives are evaluated for qualifying projects and may be combined with state and federal programs when appropriate.
Eligibility
Businesses, developers, industrial project sponsors, and property owners with qualifying projects in Clarksdale or Coahoma County may seek local tax incentive consideration.
Requirements
- Project must be located in Clarksdale or Coahoma County and support business development, renovation, revitalization, industrial development, or historic district investment.
- Applicant must document project location, ownership or site control, investment, job creation or retention, redevelopment need, and anticipated public benefit.
- Applicant must work with the city, county, or Crossroads Economic Partnership to identify the applicable local tax incentive vehicle.
