About this program
The Mississippi Works Fund supports workforce training projects that grow the state's skilled workforce and meet the demands of new and existing businesses. Eligible projects include job creation projects, work-ready projects, urgent workforce needs for new jobs, job retention, applicant-pool development, and local economic and community development activities tied to workforce advancement.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants include Mississippi workforce and economic development partners, employers, and training providers developing workforce training projects that support new or existing businesses.
Requirements
- Project must enhance workforce skills and support Mississippi economic development.
- Project should support job creation, job retention, work-ready training, urgent workforce needs, or applicant-pool development.
- Funds should be targeted to high-growth industries identified by the Mississippi Development Authority.
