About this program
Lincoln’s Urban Development Department uses tax increment financing as a redevelopment tool under Nebraska Community Development Law. TIF can support eligible public improvements and redevelopment costs for projects in blighted and substandard areas, including downtown, Haymarket, and other redevelopment areas.
Eligibility
Developers, property owners, businesses, and public partners with eligible redevelopment projects in approved Lincoln redevelopment areas.
Requirements
- Project must be in an eligible redevelopment area and align with an approved redevelopment plan
- Submit redevelopment proposal, budget, eligible costs, financing, and public benefit information
- Receive city review, public approvals, redevelopment agreement, and comply with reimbursement rules
