About this program
Kiva U.S. provides 0% interest, no-fee crowdfunded microloans of up to $15,000 for U.S.-based small business owners, including entrepreneurs with disabilities. Loans are funded by individual lenders worldwide in $25 increments. Borrowers complete a public campaign with social underwriting (no traditional credit check); they must first demonstrate social capital by inviting friends and family to lend during a private fundraising phase before the loan is publicly listed.
Eligibility
U.S.-based entrepreneur 18 or older; business and loan purpose must be legal and ethical; must demonstrate social capital by inviting friends and family to lend during a private fundraising phase before public listing.
