About this program
The Hawaii Tax Credit for Research Activities supports qualified high technology businesses conducting qualified research in the state.
Eligibility
Qualified high technology businesses registered in Hawaii, with no more than 500 employees and more than 50 percent of qualified research activities in Hawaii, may apply.
Requirements
- Submit DBEDT certification application during application period
- Provide required tax and research documentation
- File approved certificate with Hawaii tax return
