OneGeorgia Authority EDGE Fund
Provides grants and loans to local development authorities in rural Georgia counties to help close competitive economic development deals where Georgia is competing with another state for a relocation or expansion project. Funds public infrastructure, site development, and other community improvements that support business location.
About this program
EDGE Fund grants are not capped in amount - approval is at OneGeorgia Authority's discretion. Full applications are due on the second Friday of designated months. Recapture provisions apply if project assets are transferred. Best fit for businesses making major rural relocations or expansions.
Eligibility
Local governments, local-government authorities, and joint or multi-county development authorities in rural Georgia counties (or conditionally eligible counties partnering with rural ones). Counties with populations over 500,000 are not eligible. Must demonstrate a competitive project where the company is choosing between Georgia and another state. Businesses benefit indirectly through their local development authority.
