About this program
The City of La Crosse uses Tax Incremental Financing to support eligible redevelopment, infrastructure, and economic development projects in approved TIF districts. Assistance may reimburse eligible costs such as site preparation, environmental work, public infrastructure, streets, utilities, and other project costs that support taxable development and public benefit.
Eligibility
Developers, businesses, property owners, and public-private partners with eligible projects in La Crosse TIF districts may seek project-specific assistance.
Requirements
- Project must be located in or directly benefit a La Crosse Tax Incremental Financing district.
- Project must align with the applicable TIF district project plan and City economic development objectives.
- Applicant must demonstrate need for public assistance and project public benefit.
