About this program
The City of Utica Business Assistance Fund is a Downtown Revitalization Initiative priority project that provides grant funding to business and property owners for expansion and improvement projects in the Utica DRI target area. The fund is designed to strengthen downtown businesses and buildings by supporting commercial improvements, with up to $70,000 available per property when matched by at least $10,000. Mixed-use projects with at least two residential units may be eligible for additional assistance.
Eligibility
Business owners and property owners with eligible expansion or improvement projects located within the City of Utica Downtown Revitalization Initiative target area.
Requirements
- Operate or own an eligible business or property in the Utica DRI target area
- Use funds for eligible business expansion, commercial improvement, or property improvement projects
- Provide at least the required project match
