Eligibility
Eligible South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation consumers with disabilities may pursue self-employment when the business is consistent with their abilities, informed choice, employment goal, and approved Individualized Plan for Employment.
Requirements
- Applicant must be an eligible SCVRD consumer with a disability-related employment barrier.
- Self-employment must be included as an approved employment outcome in the Individualized Plan for Employment.
- Applicant must work with SCVRD to assess feasibility, market, business skills, benefits impact, and support needs.
