About this program
DHCD funds qualified community-based nonprofit organizations to develop storefront facade improvement projects in low- and moderate-income retail and commercial areas. Participating businesses and commercial property owners may receive matching grants and design and construction support.
Eligibility
Qualified businesses or commercial property owners located in targeted facade improvement areas selected by participating community-based nonprofit organizations.
Requirements
- Be located in a targeted low- or moderate-income commercial area
- Work through a participating community-based nonprofit organization
- Provide project, ownership or tenant, match, and construction documentation
