About this program
The Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh offers facade improvement support to help commercial property owners and small businesses improve storefronts, signage, lighting, and exterior conditions in neighborhood business districts. The program is structured to leverage private investment and strengthen Pittsburgh commercial corridors.

Eligible commercial property owners and business tenants in Pittsburgh with qualifying facade or storefront improvement projects.
Requirements
- Confirm property and project eligibility with URA staff
- Submit scope of work, contractor estimates, ownership or tenant authorization, and before photos
- Complete approvals, permits, and reimbursement documentation as required
