About this program
The City of Minneapolis Facade Improvement Matching Grant helps businesses, nonprofit organizations, and property owners improve the exterior appearance of commercial buildings in eligible Great Streets areas. The program is administered through local neighborhood organizations and can reimburse one-third of eligible project costs, up to the program cap, for approved improvements such as signs, windows, doors, lighting, awnings, exterior repairs, and accessibility-related storefront work.
Eligibility
Businesses, nonprofit organizations, and property owners with eligible commercial buildings or business spaces in Minneapolis Great Streets areas may apply through the local program administrator.
Requirements
- Project must be located in an eligible Minneapolis Great Streets facade grant area.
- Applicant must be a business owner, nonprofit organization, property owner, or tenant with owner approval.
- Project must involve eligible exterior building or storefront improvements.
