Maine Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) – Self-Employment Track
Maine DVR provides self-employment as a vocational goal for individuals with disabilities; confirmed in WIOA state plan 2024-2027; services can include business plan development assistance, goods and equipment required to establish the business, and help obtaining loans and financial resources; individual must own and operate the business; delivered through BRS offices statewide; apply through maine.gov/rehab/dvr.

Eligibility
Maine residents with a physical, mental, or emotional disability that results in a substantial impediment to employment who require VR services to achieve a self-employment outcome; self-employment must be an appropriate vocational goal per the DVR counselor.
