North Carolina EIPD can support eligible people with disabilities who pursue self-employment as a vocational goal.

Eligibility
Eligible applicants are North Carolinians with a physical or mental disability or chronic medical condition that creates a barrier to employment and who work with EIPD to develop an Individualized Plan for Employment that may include self-employment.
Requirements
- Be at least 14 years old and want to work.
- Have a disability or medical condition that makes it difficult to find, keep, or advance in employment.
- Apply through EIPD and complete eligibility and vocational planning with a counselor.
