About this program
Google for Startups' Black Founders Fund provides non-dilutive cash awards (most recently $150,000) plus up to $200,000 in Google Cloud credits, hands-on support, and mentorship to Black-led startups in the United States. Recipients also gain access to Google for Startups programs, including the Founders Academy and a community of alumni. The fund focuses on companies that have raised seed or early-stage funding and demonstrated traction.
Eligibility
U.S.-based Black-led startups with traction (typically pre-seed to Series A), with at least one Black founder in a leadership position. Selection criteria emphasize traction, team strength, and venture potential.
Requirements
- Create a Google for Startups profile
- Apply during an open application window (program announces cohorts periodically)
- Submit company materials including pitch deck and traction metrics
