About this program
The Women Veteran Entrepreneurship Training Program (WVETP) provides specialized entrepreneurship training to women veterans, active-duty women service members, and women spouses of service members. The flagship program, V-WISE (Veteran Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship), is operated by IVMF at Syracuse University and includes online preparation, an intensive in-person conference, and post-conference mentorship and resources. The Utah Veteran Business Resource Center offers STRIVE (Startup Training Resources to Inspire Veteran Entrepreneurship), another SBA-funded WVETP program.
Eligibility
Women veterans, active-duty women service members, or women spouses of service members interested in starting or growing a business; no cost to participants.
Requirements
- Female veteran, active duty, or military spouse status
- Application to V-WISE or STRIVE program
- Commitment to multi-phase training (online + in-person + mentorship)
