Federal tax incentive for qualified investments in Mesa Opportunity Zone businesses and property.
About this program
Mesa has designated Opportunity Zone census tracts anchored by Downtown Mesa, Fiesta District, Falcon District, and Gateway areas. Qualified Opportunity Fund investments in eligible businesses or property in these zones may receive federal capital gains tax benefits.
Eligibility
Investors, qualified opportunity funds, developers, and qualified opportunity zone businesses investing in eligible Mesa Opportunity Zone property or businesses.
Requirements
- Invest through a Qualified Opportunity Fund
- Confirm project or business location in a designated Mesa Opportunity Zone
- Comply with federal Opportunity Zone asset, timing, and reporting rules
