About this program
Main Street Rhode Island streetscape funds support improvements to commercial districts and downtown areas, including public realm, pedestrian, lighting, signage, and placemaking improvements that strengthen local businesses and corridors.
Eligibility
Municipalities, redevelopment partners, and eligible commercial district projects in Rhode Island communities, including Providence when program rounds are available.
Requirements
- Apply through Rhode Island Commerce during an open program round
- Provide project scope, budget, municipal or partner approvals, match, and economic impact information
- Meet procurement, reimbursement, reporting, and design requirements
