About this program
The Overland Park Chamber Economic Development Council launched a pilot Small Business Micro Grant program in 2026 to support business development and expansion. Awards were available for eligible activities such as staff development, paid internships, business improvements, technology upgrades, equipment, commercialization, and proof-of-concept work.
Eligibility
Overland Park small businesses with fewer than 25 full-time-equivalent employees, in good standing with Kansas, in business for at least one year, and able to match up to $3,000 in monetary or in-kind investment.
Requirements
- Operate in Overland Park with fewer than 25 FTE
- Be in good standing with the State of Kansas and in business for one year or more
- Provide matching investment and project documentation during the application window
