Grants to expand farmers markets and direct-to-consumer local food sales.
About this program
The Farmers Market Promotion Program funds projects that develop, coordinate, and expand direct producer-to-consumer markets such as farmers markets, roadside stands, community-supported agriculture, agritourism, and online direct sales. Deadline notes: Annual deadlines are announced by USDA AMS. Notes: Includes tribal governments and food system partners where eligible; not limited to identity-based applicants.
Eligibility
Eligible agricultural businesses, producer networks, nonprofits, local governments, tribal governments, and regional food system partners, including eligible New Jersey applicants.
Requirements
- Submit Grants.gov application with project narrative, budget, direct marketing plan, producer benefit, matching funds if required, and federal forms.
