About this program
The Senior Companion Program supports organizations that engage volunteers age 55 and older to provide companionship and support to older adults and adults with special needs so they can remain independent. Deadline notes: Deadlines are published in active AmeriCorps Seniors funding notices. Notes: National grant and volunteer program with older-adult focus.
Eligibility
Eligible sponsoring organizations that can operate Senior Companion programming and recruit eligible volunteers age 55 and older.
Requirements
- Submit the AmeriCorps Seniors grant application with volunteer management plan, service model, budget, compliance materials, and required federal forms.
