Short-Term Workforce Development Grant – ApprenticeshipNC
The Short-Term Workforce Development (STWD) Grant provides up to $750 per course for registered apprentices enrolled in Workforce Continuing Education courses at any of NC's 58 community colleges. Recently expanded to include ApprenticeshipNC participants in construction and skilled trades.

Eligibility
Registered apprentices enrolled in Workforce Continuing Education courses at NC community colleges through the ApprenticeshipNC program. Construction trade apprentices are eligible.
Requirements
- Be a registered apprentice in an ApprenticeshipNC program
- Enroll in qualifying Workforce Continuing Education course at an NC community college
- Apply through the NC community college
