About this program
The Raleigh Building Up-fit Grant helps new and expanding small businesses offset the cost of interior improvements needed to occupy eligible vacant commercial spaces. The program supports activation of storefronts and commercial corridors through reimbursement-style assistance.
Eligibility
Small businesses leasing or purchasing eligible vacant commercial space in Raleigh and completing qualifying interior up-fit improvements.
Requirements
- Locate in an eligible Raleigh commercial space and complete eligible up-fit work
- Provide matching funds, lease or ownership documentation, project budget, permits, and contractor estimates
- Receive approval and complete improvements before reimbursement under program rules
