Provides direct loans up to $250,000 for eligible Mississippi small businesses that create or retain jobs.
About this program
The Mississippi Small Business Assistance Loan Program provides financing through local planning and development districts to help eligible Mississippi small businesses start, expand, and create or retain full-time jobs. The program can finance a portion of project costs such as land, building purchase or renovation, machinery, equipment, inventory, and working capital.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are Mississippi for-profit commercial enterprises that meet small business size or financial criteria and can document job creation or retention.
Requirements
- Business must be a for-profit commercial enterprise.
- Business must employ fewer than 100 full-time employees, have less than $2 million in net worth, or have less than $350,000 in net after-tax profit during two of the last three years.
- Business must provide evidence that the project will create or retain full-time jobs.
