About this program
Oakland’s facade and tenant improvement efforts support small businesses and commercial property owners with exterior improvements, code-related upgrades, and corridor revitalization projects that strengthen neighborhood business districts.
Eligibility
Eligible Oakland small businesses, commercial tenants, property owners, and corridor partners with qualifying storefront or tenant improvement projects in targeted areas or program rounds.
Requirements
- Apply through Oakland economic and workforce development or corridor partner process
- Provide business license, site information, owner approval, project scope, and cost estimates
- Complete approved improvements and submit invoices, permits, photos, and reporting materials
