Kalamazoo Small Business Loan Fund
The Kalamazoo Small Business Loan Fund provides low-interest bridge loans from $5,000 to $50,000 to eligible city small businesses.
About this program
The Kalamazoo Small Business Loan Fund is a partnership of United Way of South Central Michigan and the City of Kalamazoo, supported by the Foundation for Excellence. The fund provides low-interest bridge loans to local businesses that need working capital for payroll, rent, mortgage, utilities, or similar operating expenses, with an intentional focus on reducing disparities for communities of color and women-owned businesses.
Eligibility
Small businesses located in the City of Kalamazoo with 50 or fewer full-time-equivalent employees, annual revenue of $2.5 million or less, and working capital needs may apply.
Requirements
- Business must be located in the City of Kalamazoo.
- Business must have been in operation for at least one year before the application date.
- Business must have 50 full-time-equivalent employees or fewer.
