Cannabis Social Equity Technical Assistance Grant Program
Washington Department of Commerce awards grants ($3M annually appropriated) to cannabis social equity applicants and licensees, primarily based on the strength of their social equity plans. Round 1 grants up to ~$141,729 and Round 2 up to ~$58,003 per applicant. Over $6.1M distributed as of July 2025.

Eligibility
Cannabis social equity applicants who have submitted a social equity plan, and cannabis licensees holding a license issued after April 1, 2023, who meet social equity criteria.
Requirements
- Meet Washington State social equity applicant criteria
- Submit a social equity plan to LCB
- Cannabis license applicant or licensee issued after April 1, 2023
