About this program
The City of Battle Creek administers Community Development Block Grant funds from HUD to support activities that principally benefit low- and moderate-income residents, address neighborhood needs, and expand economic opportunity. Eligible projects can include housing, public facilities and improvements, public services, neighborhood revitalization, and other community development activities consistent with City plans and HUD rules.
Eligibility
Eligible nonprofit organizations, public agencies, community partners, and qualified project sponsors serving Battle Creek residents or neighborhoods may apply when the City opens its funding process.
Requirements
- Project must serve Battle Creek residents or neighborhoods.
- Activity must meet a HUD CDBG national objective.
- Applicant must be an eligible organization or implementing partner under CDBG rules.
