East Lansing Successful Leasing Program
Security deposit and first-month rent assistance for eligible renters.
About this program
The Successful Leasing Program provides up to $1,500 in security deposit and/or first month rent assistance to low- to moderate-income prospective East Lansing residents renting approved licensed units at or below applicable rent limits.
Eligibility
Prospective East Lansing renters with household income at or below 80% of area median income who are leasing an approved rental unit licensed with the city.
Requirements
- Apply through Capital Area Housing Partnership or city program process
- Provide household income, rental unit, lease, match, and eligibility documentation
- Contribute a matching payment equal to 25% of the subsidized payment
