About this program
The Federal Home Loan Bank of New York Small Business Recovery Grant Program provides grant funds through participating member financial institutions to eligible small businesses and nonprofits in New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The 2026 program opens May 26, 2026 and will accept applications until funds are exhausted or until 5:00 p.m. ET on July 31, 2026. Grants range from $2,500 to $10,000 and may be used for startup, expansion, building purchase, land acquisition, construction, equipment, working capital, and related uses.
Eligibility
Registered small businesses and nonprofit organizations in New Rochelle or elsewhere in the FHLBNY district that meet program requirements and apply through a participating FHLBNY member institution.
Requirements
- Operate as an eligible registered small business or nonprofit in New York, including New Rochelle
- Apply through or be sponsored by a participating Federal Home Loan Bank of New York member financial institution
