Iowa Self-Employment Program (ISE) – Vocational Rehabilitation
Statewide Iowa program providing up to $10,000 in technical assistance and up to $10,000 in financial assistance to qualified Iowans with disabilities who want to start, expand, or acquire a business; referrals made by Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation or Iowa Department for the Blind counselors.

Eligibility
Individuals with disabilities served by Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) or the Iowa Department for the Blind (IDB) whose vocational goal is self-employment; independent contractors and freelancers are also eligible.
Requirements
- Have a disability as defined under VR eligibility criteria
- Be an active client of Iowa VR Services or Iowa Department for the Blind
- Have self-employment as a vocational goal
