Reinvestment Payment Program (Renewable Energy)
Refunds state sales and use taxes paid on construction costs for large renewable energy facility projects exceeding $20 million. Recently awarded $2.8 million in tax relief to a solar farm.

Eligibility
Renewable energy projects with facility costs exceeding $20,000,000 or equipment upgrades exceeding $2,000,000. Must demonstrate project would not have occurred without the payment. Board of Economic Development approval required.
Requirements
- New or expanded facility costs must exceed $20,000,000
- OR equipment upgrade costs must exceed $2,000,000
- Must demonstrate project would not occur without reinvestment payment
